Dead On Arrival (DOA) Cover*
- DOA must be reported within 2 hours of delivery.
- Bags must remain sealed (do not remove rubber band or tape)

Appearance
|
Elongate fish with a compressed tail, a row of small spines along the back, and a soft-rayed dorsal fin. They have a light brown color with a thin pale yellow stripe running from the eye to the base of the tail.

Can grow up to 32cm long

Habitat
|
Found in freshwater habitats such as slow-moving streams and canals, standing pools or reservoirs, or in freshwater wetlands
|
Diet
|
Opportunistic carnivores that eat benthic crustaceans, annelids, insect larvae, ghost shrimp, feeder guppies, and bloodworms
|
Temperament
|
Not aggressive, but adults can take small fish overnight. They are peaceful fish that can be kept in a community tank with larger fish.

Soft and slightly acidic, pH: 6.0–7.0, dH: up to 15 degrees
