Glossostigma (Glossostigma elatinoides) is one of the most popular carpeting plants in freshwater aquariums. Known for its small, bright green leaves and low-growing habit, it creates a lush, natural lawn effect across the foreground of planted tanks.
This plant is a favourite in aquascaping and nature-style layouts, especially in high-light, CO₂-enriched aquariums. When grown under optimal conditions, Glossostigma spreads quickly and forms a dense, vibrant carpet that enhances depth and scale in the aquarium.
