The American Flag Fish (Jordanella floridae) is a hardy and eye-catching freshwater fish native to Florida, USA. Named for its distinctive red, white, and blue patterning, this species is especially popular for its bold appearance and algae-eating behaviour.
American Flag Fish are best suited to semi-aggressive or species-specific aquariums, as males can become territorial, particularly during breeding. They are adaptable, resilient fish that thrive in well-planted tanks and are well suited to aquarists looking for a unique, characterful species.
