Introducing New Fish

Borneo Sucker - Hillstream Loach

The Hillstream Loach is a curious fish of extraordinary beauty. The unique physical features of the Hillstream Loach reflect life adapted to fast-flowing streams. The flattened body is a special adaptation that gives the Hillstream Loach an extremely hydrodynamic shape. This streamlined body shape helps the Hillstream Loach navigate (or stay put) in very strong currents with minimal effort. In addition, this very practical and specialized body shape helps accentuate the gorgeous wing-like finnage of the Butterfly Hillstream Loach. A graphic mottled pattern adds further visual interest to defy any conventional resemblance to the classic piscine shape. With proper care, this peaceful fish makes a great choice for freshwater hobbyists in search of unusual aquarium inhabitants.
